Bollywood legendary & First Female Superstar Passes Away

Bollywood diva Sridevi passed away on Saturday night around (11:00 -11:30) after a massive cardiac arrest in Dubai UAE.

The news is confirmed by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor, She was only 54. The first female superstar of Bollywood who was reportedly attending a wedding with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi at the time of death.

Her elder daughter, Janhvi couldn’t attend the wedding because of her shooting schedule.

Sridevi along with her family were in UAE to attend the wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah.

“Yes, it is true that legendary Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. “Told Sanjay Kapoor.

Well-wishers of the family are rushing to Sridevi’s house in Mumbai.

Sridevi was known for her iconic roles in Hindi movies like Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and many more.

She had started her career as a child artiste, and grew up to be one of the biggest  & first female superstars India could ever have.

Born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, Sridevi had over 275 movies in her name and she had worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films before debuting in Hindi films.

The government of India awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour, in 2013 for her contribution to Indian Cinema.

When she became a mother for the first time with daughter Janhavi, she went away from the Bollywood and movie business.

and after 15 years of big break from Bollywood, she made a stellar comeback in the industry with Gauri Shinde’s movie English Vinglish.

Her last Hindi movie was revenge thriller titled Mom & her elder daughter Janhvi is set to make her Bollywood debut this year with Karan Johar’s directorial Dhadak.
